- 1. How much do I make from the sale of my items?
Sellers earn 2/3 of the selling price of the item.
- 2. What does a priority number mean, and why do I need one?
As sellers drop off their items during appointment receiving, They will receive a shopping pass. These shopping passes allow those sellers to shop early during the Preview Sale Day. See the Kid's Market and Mom calendar for the specific date. This helps in the control of crowds on Preview Day for our contributors.
- 3. What is the purpose of tape with my Kid's Market and Mom # inside my garment?
This is purely for your protection in case of a lost tag. It helps us identify whom the item belongs to, and you will not be out that money. It is also important for every other item that you bring.
- 4. What is the purpose of purpose of the barcodes?
To make Kid's Market and Mom the most efficient experience for everyone. It is a better way to keep up with all items sold, and has proven to make checkout quicker and simpler for the buyers. Plus we are now able to get checks to our contributors faster and more accurately.
- 5. What happens to the items left at the end of the sale?
During the sale we take names of families in need and groups that we know are not going to resale items for profit. No receipts are given. It is the policy of Kid's Market and Mom to not receive any tax credit for clothes donated to people in need. We have helped groups such as PATH, Sav A Life, Bread and Roses, Safe House, Showers of Blessings, DHR, Foster families and many, many families in need.
All contributors must select DONATE when creating tags from this website for items that should be donated if not sold. This will help expedite the creation of the charity boxes.
- 6. What does DO NOT ALTER TAGS mean?
The bar codes work just like a department store. Please use the correct bar code price that you want your item to sell for. If you change your mind, make a new tag. We will not accept tags that have been altered. Do not write on top of the barcode, as this will cause it not to scan correctly.
- 7. What Is Appointment Receiving?
All contributors must make an appointment for receiving. There will be a $6 non-refundable consignment fee. All shopping passes will be given out at appointment receiving.
- 8. What if I miss pick-up or payday?
Unfortunately, due to the time frame at the end of the sale, your remaining, unsold items will be donated to charity and your pay check (if any is due) will be mailed to the address on file the day after pick-up/pay-day. DO NOT MISS PICK-UP DAY IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR ITEMS DONATED!
